Dr. Rippy retired from dentistry in 2013 and is no longer practicing.  Since he has retired, Dr. B. J. Rippy enjoys reading and family time - especially being "Grandpa" to John's boys: Jackson, Garrett, Michael and Henry.

A native of Gallatin and a 1979 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, Dr. B. J. Rippy has been a fixture of the dental community in Middle Tennessee since starting his practice in Gallatin more than 30 years ago.

After receiving a B.S. in Accounting from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville and an M.A. in Accounting from the University of Alabama, Dr. Bill Rippy served as a Captain in the United States Army, stationed in Alexandria, Virginia. Returning to Gallatin in 1980, Dr. B. J. Rippy has enjoyed the opportunity to build longstanding relationships with his patients, providing the highest quality care available to children and adults.

Dr. B. J. Rippy is delighted his son, Dr. John Rippy, has returned to the community and knows he continues to provide exemplary care to patients in Sumner County and the surrounding communities.
